What funding is available?

Zero Emissions Truck Grant

The UK government is offering significant support to help businesses switch to zero emission vehicles:

  • Up to £81,000 off the cost of the heaviest electric trucks
  • Up to £5,000 off new electric vans
  • Up to £1 million towards depot charging infrastructure

This funding is designed to reduce upfront costs and make switching to electric more affordable.

  • Who is eligible for the grant?

    The grant is available to:

    • Businesses of all sizes
    • Fleet operators
    • Public sector organisations

    Depot Charging Scheme

    Applications for the 2026/27 Depot Charging Scheme grant is available now until 30th June 2026 with grants to be awarded by 30th September 2026.

What is the Depot Charging Scheme?

The Depot Charging Scheme provides funding to support the installation of EV charging infrastructure at your site.

This can cover:

  • Charging hardware
  • Installation costs
  • Supporting electrical infrastructure

Businesses and public authorities can receive up to 70% of costs, capped at £1 million.

  • Do I need charging infrastructure in place already?

    No. Many businesses start without any charging infrastructure. Funding is available to help you install what you need.

    We can support you with:

    • Planning your depot setup
    • Identifying the right charging solution
    • Accessing available funding

  • How long will the funding be available?

    Funding is available now, but demand is expected to be high.

    As with many government schemes, availability may change over time, so early engagement is recommended.
